My Skype account balance was drained this morning by fraudulent phone calls supposedly made FROM my account to a cell phone in Taiwan. How do they do this? I watched as the calls repeatedly came in and it kept taking my money away, but I couldn't stop it. Then it billed me for a recharge through PayPal before I could stop it by cancelling the auto-recharge feature.
How can this be prevented. If it can't then I need to cancel my Skype Out service and my Skype Pro and stop using.
I lost about $30 or more before I could stop it. If I hadn't been sitting by my computer when it started they could have drained my entire PayPal account.
I opened a support ticket, but is there any faster way to contact support than waiting up to 4 days?
