Full Version: Problem with Skype 2.1.0.47 and openSUSE

Hi

I upgraded my openSUSE 11.1 installation from Skype 2.0 to 2.1 Now Windows users can no langer hear me.

Rather confusing:
- if I call within my local network from openSUSE to openSUSE it works fine
- if I call within my local network from openSUSE to WindowsXP it works
- if I call the test service, it works
- if I call with version 2.0 to an external Windows computer, it works
- if I call with version 2.1 to an external Windows computer, I can hear them, but they don't hear me. This happens on all PC's in my network. 386 and X64.

Any Idea's how to solve this Skype 2.1.0.47 issue?

Is version 2.0 for openSUSE 10+ still somewhere available?

Thansk for your comments
deloptes
might be bandwidth issue too

Try disabling pulseaudio as a test (disable autospawn and killall pulse), as it's a major difference of 2.1 vs 2.0.
If available, the two ends might turn on 'show technical info during call'.
If you want PA, consider some of the daemon.conf settings like the resample method and parameters.

Assuming you can find a record of the package's name, yes.
