I looked at the tread, but still, there is no explanation. Do you know what this is and how to get rid of it, except reset?

I have the same problem here. Is this a problem with localisation? I have a german version of 2003 and skype seems to detect that somehow. The login button however says "Hier tippen zum Anmelden" (eng.: "Tap here to login").

Axim X50v
Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition
Rom Version: A02
Language: German
RAM: 64MB
Processor: Intel PXA270 (624 MHz)

P.S. danberte: You said you installed Opera beta, which i did too last week. (But i deinstalled it, since it didn't work). Maybe that's a clue in our puzzle here ;-)

But I never even touched Opera. And still the same "MR..." garbage.

Hi

Do you face ths problem with latest public beta (released on 26 January) as well?
adrianol_
I have exactly the same problem on my X50v

It appears to only happen after I run an application which uses .NET CF V2 (and some others...)

For example, the new WIFIFOFUM (WIFI scanner - http://www.aspecto-software.com/xoops/) causes this problem for me.

After a soft reset, skype is OK.

This also happens with other applications, and is causes by others - not restricted to skype. But always on the Dell X50v...

On my dell x50v, skype conflicks with Pocket Informant 2005 for sure, even for the latest version of skype (v2.0).

I still cannot use Skype on my Axim X50V with 2.0.51. I tried to revert back to the last version that worked and it also has problems. I have uninstalled/reinstalled and also ran MemAid to clean registry. Still no luck.

Hi,

Have you updated your device ROM to latest available? It seems to be releted to the software you have installed in your device, cause we haven't been able to reproduce it in any of our Dell devices...
