I've signed up for a pretty good number for my business with a local area code. But I will be doing businesss on the internet & therefore getting calls from all over the US.
What options are available in obtaining an 800, 866, 877 etc type of number?
Or am I limited to just a local area code to the state I live in?

Hey Johnny,
You might want to check out an older Skype thread for an answer to your question -

I talked to them & it would be like $80-100 a month for their service/800 #/Dash board and its more based if you need like a call center setup.
Not something I was looking to do. I just wanted the 800 # option. Skype gives me everything else I need, dashboard, cheap low costs, advanced technology etc.
I guess I'll just stick with the local # for now.
Thanks.

Have a look at
jajah.comThey let you have a webpage button or url link so someone with a landline/mobile phone can call you at your cost (freephone in effect)

Currently there is no 800, 866 number provided by Skype, the only thing you can do is have the 800, 866 number calls forwarded to a local SkypeIn number.
Also, you can set up a
Skype PBX phone system with PrettyMay Call Center for Skype software for Windows easliy.
