Is there any way to adjust the sound volume in Suse 9.1 on a USB headset? I have one, it sound good, but it is way too loud. Suse 9.1 comes with not one but half a dozen different volume control utilities, none of which have any effect. Is there a way to do this? Also, I get tremendous echo when talking to a friend who is running Windows. Someone else said that this goes away if I turn off capture on the mic here, but there doesn't seem to be any way to do that. Is this doable? This is all Suse 9.1, Logitech Premium 300 headset, and the very latest Skype.
