I signed up for a 3 month subscription...picked my local #. When I dialed my number from my phone, it would only take me to something that said, "Welcome to Skype." How do I get it to call the people on my list?
1) subscriptions no longer included Online numbers so I can only assume that you purchased one in addition to your subscription
2) when you call an Online number, the Skype client where the Skype user that 'bought' the Online number is Online should ring, nothing more -- I have a hunch that you are referring to a Skype To Go number which is something else again (http://www.skype.com/allfeatures/togo/#checkCallRatesTab)
3) the ability to call non-Skype users (i.e. those that have only landlines and/or mobile numbers) has nothing to do with a Skype Online number (this number is only for INCOMING calls from landlines or mobiles) -- if you have a Skype subscription, that is what you would use to make SkypeOut calls, assuming that the number being called is covered by the subscription -- to make SkypeOut calls to numbers that are not covered by your subscription requires that you have some Skype credit, because such calls would not be free
