Hi all,
Does anyone know how I can cchange the status of a contact that I had previously not allowed to see if Im online. You know when adding contacts it gives you the option to let contact see your status and when you are online... well I want to change it but short of deleteing the user and redoing it I cant see anywhere how to change it.

Any ideas??

If he is still in your list, right click the name and ask for authorization.
If not in your list, search for the contact and ask for authorization.

thanks for the help but they are already authorised ie. green icon and so when I right click the request authorization is greyed out

No, they can not change the status but if you see a green icon, you are still in their list as authorized and can talk to them. Try......

youre right I can talk to them - that parts fine - what Im asking is when I initially added them to my contacts I ticked the radio button that says dont let the contact see whether I am online - I wanted to change that so they can see that Im online

I am not sure as I never had this "problem". But they might see your status as a grey "?" If so, ask them to right click your name and ask you for authorization again.
