I recently bought the SkypeCam from skype.com because it's advertised as "Mac Compatible." This is all. They offered no information about USB port requirements or any further system requirements. I run Mac OS X 10.3.9 and the Freetalk Web Camera is undetected by my computer and Skype has my $19.99. What a ripoff.

I know these forums are geared more toward discussion rather than help-seeking. So I thought I'd post a thread regarding how faulty Skype's products are. Don't buy them. Their customer support is awful too! All they offer is FAQs! Are you serious? A calling service such as Skype can't offer live online-support?!

I've been searching for drivers to try and help my problem. I downloaded Macam and when I open it all it tells me is "Status: no camera." FML

its probably because ur os is as old as god! dont blame skype when u dont consider the obvious

Make sure iChat is not running. iChat and Skype want to use the webcam and will cause an error.
