HI everyone,
I just wanted to know if anyone has been able to control skype 1.2.0.18_API using dbus 0.33 and a python script in FC4.
If yes, how did you get it to work ?
If no, then why doesnt it work ?
I also tried the python script example on the Skype APi for linux page, but that one doesnt work either.

The current version of Skype just does not work with a current version of DBUS, regardless of what some developers on this list say.
I am using Ubuntu Breezy an I can say with 100% certaintly that with the current version of Skype, neither the .deb package nor the staticly compiled binary properly register Skype on the DBUS.
It seems to me like it is statically linked to some older version of the library or something. I really with it would be addressed.
