When I use Skype on my Mac, whether connected via wireless or a network cable, I am experiencing audio drops at irregular but frequent intervals. Both myself and the other person I am talking to experience these random audio drops for 1 to 5 seconds every 10 to 30 seconds or so. We don't seem to experience them at the same time. This happens regardless of what network I am connected to. I have been connected to the same network of a person that I am currently having this problem with and I had the same problem but he does not have this problem except with me. All the people that I am talking to over the Internet do not experience this problem with other people they talk to. All the people I am trying to talk to are using PC’s not Mac’s. I am only using audio on Skype…I’m not using video. I do not have problems when downloading files. I used Skype a month ago in a different country and it was not nearly as problematic.
I have tried:
1.) Fresh reboot without opening up any programs but Skype
2.) Switching off IPv6
3.) Using similar program called Adium that had the same problems as Skype
4.) Using Soundflowerahh
