This may sound like a silly question, but I need feedback.

I installed the new Skype v2 onto my laptop computer. I still have v1.4 installed on another computer.

I tried calling my v1.4 Skype account from the new v2 Skype account. The call went through, but the video did not appear on the v1.4 Skype interface.

I guess this means that for the video to work, both parties in the Skype call must be using v2. Is this correct?

You're right. The old version doesn't have this function.

Skype v2.0.0.43 is the first newest video supported beta release. That only supports video capablity working on ([b]WINDOWS XP) at the moment.
