I like having the skype add-on active, and one of the features I like is the menu option to copy the phone number.
The problem is that all formatting on the phone number is deleted.
If the web-site lists +1 (804) 555-1212 then +18045551212 is what comes into the clipboard.
If it's already formatted then that's a good thing! Don't go backwards and LOSE formatting! In fact, it might be a nice thing to consider an option to actively format a mal-formed phone number into something standard and consistent...

Hi plbowers,
Thank youf ro your feedback on the copy & paste format!
I would actually argue that the format we do copy in is the most standardized there is. If you paste that format into any address book, web form or mobile phone it will work and allow you to dial. I travel a lot in different countries and for me it is vital to have the phone numbers in international format in my mobile phone, which synchs with my Outlook contacts.
Another important use case is of course to copy the number into Skype and make a call that way. This is especially useful when adding a new SkypeOut call to an ongoing conference call.
There are other other use case also where I consider the full phone number with international dialling codes added is more useful than the locally formatted one usually found on websites, so that is why it is done the way it is.
Could you explain why you find a locally formatted number more useful than an internationally formatted one?
