Can someone help me. I'am running SuSe linux 10 and I have skype all setup on it. So I connected to a frind of mines, and everything went well. While we were talking, I decided to watch a game video but I wasnt geting any sound. I have a Turtle Beach montego sound card. How can I use skype and listen to music or watch videos. seems that I can't watch videos and talk at the same time.

Probably the most trouble-free way is to get a second sound card and dedicate it to Skype.

Problem is Skype doesn't work with sound mixers like jack, etc.

Installing this Skype DSP hijacker + patch for separate devices made my skype-installation on SuSE10 more stable. (I still couldn't get rid of the feedback problem, but that's another story...)
You have to start skype through the hijacker (read the README of the hijacker!)
Maybe you have to use 'sudo skype_dsp_hijacker' to start the whole thing.

Der beschriebene DSP hijacker patch ist Ruckzuck installiert (ich hoffe, du weißt, wie man selbst kompiliert).
Skype muss dann über den hijacker gestartet werden (ist im README-file beschrieben). Ev. musst Du 'sudo skype_dsp_hijacker' als start-Kommando benutzen (also als root ausführen).
