I was wondering if development of skype has slowed down/been terminated ? It seems to me the skype is prioritizing development of It's Mac version ...

In June Mac had version 1.0.49 available whereas Linux had v. 1.2.11

Today Mac has a Beta 1.4 version available whereas Linux still has a 1.2.18

I hope I am mistaken, but it just doesn't feel ok ...

Well on the other side, perhaps they are using this time to actually DO something regarding ALSA, rather than wasting their time on frivolous changes to look and feel issues.

OTOH, since Ebay purchased them not much at all has come down the pipe, so perhaps we need to Email Meg@ ebay.com to find out the real story.

The old versions works better than the present one. !!!
It would not be a wast of time to make one version working correctly on ubuntu the most used version !

You are trying to say that Ubuntu is the most used version of Linux?

Not even close. You want stuff to work, go get a real distro.

Ubuntu gets the most downloads at distrowatch, but it is certainly not the most used by real users. It's used and then switched from. I tried it and found it a bit limiting, it tries to be too much like windoze, it's just supposed to work, but not support everything and not allow you to do much. It doesn't come with much preinstalled, which would be a problem except for apt. I do wish skype would get off their butts when it comes to linux, though.

Could be, but if so, why don't they let us know?
