Using Issue 2.0.0.43 my video works a treat when I upgraded to 2.0.0.81 my video does not work, why not.

Have you had a look in the Options (Skype>Tools>Options>Video) is your camera selected?

And is it enabled?

Also test the webcam using the button on that page and see if it works?

When I select, the option reads VIDEO BETA and when I select it the page that comes up is greyed out apart from informing me it will only work with W/XP. I'm using XP PRO.

There is some limit for one minute. Cam works one minute and then just break on other messanger my cam works fine. Bud i would like to use my cam with Skype messanger.

Recently I've bought a new model of TV capture card, exactly the model is AVerTV Hybrid+FM PCI. It doesn't work with my Skype 2.0.0.81 version. When I try to test my Web cam I get the next message from Skype "Video sours fails to deliver the stream in correct format". Before this purchase I had very old Aver TV capture card (Aver TV Phone with BT-848 chip) and it worked OK with all Skype versions. So, I think that the problem is that Skype doesn't support this new model of Aver TV capture card, however the text of the message is a bit strange. On the other hand I can see Aver device in Skype check up window. May be I can do something in Aver tools window?

Can anybody help me? Thanx in advance.

The Genius VideoCAM Slim (320) works with Skype 2.0.0.97.

My Canon ZR500 camcorder works nicely with firewire dv out & webcamdv software. Well, perhaps I should say video works, not audio; but since I have microphones on my two computers this is not an issue.

I just bought the philips SPC900NC, supposed to be a great camera but the problem is that after hanging up a call and starting the video in a new the picture shown is frozen. The problem is resolved when Skype is restarted. Does anyone have a clue what the problem might me? I'm considering getting it changed for the Logitech Fusion.

ATI All-in Wonder Radeon250 with Catalyst Drvers 9.13 does not work.

Capture driver is the (WDM 6-14-10-6246 version5)

Suprisingly, the camera works with windows messenger, 4.7 but not with MSN Messenger 7.5.

Always seems that the newer models are less robust !

i've found one neat, small, easy to use program that at least works with my creative webcam II. WebCamSplitter

Running Veo Mobile Connect with latest drivers (rel 04/25/2002) on Sony Vaio notebook XP Pro SP2.
Camera works elsewhere MSN, Camtasia etc in SKYPE you get an error saying the video is in an incorrect format, this is the same whether you use the veo driver or the veo WDM driver.
Installed splitcam this got cam working when using the veo driver but not the veo WDM driver.

the Trust WB 3100P portable webcam does NOT work with Skype.
It is recognized by Skype and can be successfully tested through the "test webcam" feature but Skype crashes a few seconds after starting the video call.
The Cam remains on and there was no way to have it working again even after closing Skype.
The Trust support I contacted via their website has been supporting me very poorly.
I will try to see if I can solve the problem with external software like the splitcam you suggested and I will let you know how it goes.

Hello, i got problems with my Logitech Quick Cam Sommunicate STX.
I use Skype 2.0 and have Win XP.
When i start the camera with the logitech program, all is fine.
But when skype runs the camera, i got a "flicker", sorry i dont know the word in english, it looks like, when you see in TV a normal PC Monitor, i looks like something goes from botton to top very fast. i hope someone understands what i mean, hehe...

Try to update the drivers for the camera first if that does not work try Splitcam from here http://www.splitcamera.com/download.html

My Osprey-100 card works with iVisit but not with Skype, under Windows XP. Very disappointing.

From viewcast.com I downloaded and installed the latest driver Osprey_MultiMedia_V3_1_2_11.exe
but it did not help.

JVC MiniDV cam GR-D50E does NOT with neither via USB nor Firewire link. Message: Video source fails to deliver stream in correct format.

MSI StarCam Mini - Video works but the inbuilt mic does not get detected in Skype

I will have to buy a headset if i cannot get this problem fixed.

I am using Creative PC-CAM 880. I can see my video on Video Call but other do not.
How can this problem is resolved?

i'm using creative webcam instant. i cannot view any video image from my friends. my friend also could not view my video image. what we both usually get is "black screen"

MEDION 713x Capture card does not work with Skype.

!!! WORKAROUND: with above-mentioned TrackerCam Application it works fine !!!
Just choose "TrackerCam Capture" as Video device and start TrackerCam Application.

Creative 'Webcam 3 USB' does not work with latest Skype 2.5.0.122

QuickCam Pro - works (on my in-law's system where I installed it)

SplitCam works too and it's not so laden with stuff you dont need, so thank you for the tip!

I was very satisfied with the skype version before this new one came along on the 14 of june. Today the facts are 1) no more video. 2) no more conference calling.
This is so downright bad and counter productive, not withstanding that any observation and complaints go unanswerd that I truely believe the skype days are now counted. It's all downhill as from now.

Thanks a lot, now I am back to normal. all that is (maybe better) is that one can send sms with the 2.5 xxx and it costs, and not so if you use a competitive telephone company with the celular!
