Hello Guys...

Im thinkin to get a new phone...first i saw Nokia E71 n i liked it bcz of Skype in it...thn i saw HTC Touch Pro 2 n i loved it...amazin phone...

But i have 1 little question...does Skype works gr8 in HTC Touch Pro 2 ??

wht u guys recommend HTC Touch Pro 2 or Nokia E71 ? or any othr gud phone ?

Suggestions woud be appreciated

This is a totally personal choice that you will ultimately have to make. I brought my wife an E71 and "what a phone" it is out the box good and also can be tweaked with a few softwares. I installed SKYPE on the the phone after upgrading it to the Chines/Singaporean Operating System. Also FRING works great on the E71. Both use the ear piece and so your call provacy is perfect. Battery life is excellent.

I recently purchased an HTC Touch Diamond2 and SKYPE works perfectly on this PDA windows mobile phone. Again plenty of tweaks can be made to the PDA type devices, but the battery life is not so good and the sound from SKYPE comes from the rear speaker until you install some third party software (audiorouter). However after that is all works great. I love my PDA and I also love my wifes E71.

If you are not much in to tweaking then E71 is probably the way to go. If you like to play with your toys then either device is great.

P.S. From some reviews of the HTC Touch Pro2 i see the battery life is limited, this will greatly affect your use of SKYPE on this device as you will need Wifi enabled at all times.

From what I know, Skype for Nokia (Skype lite?) is not free. Skype to skype calls are charged. Skype for WM offers it for free and you only pay data charges for 3G/Edge/GPRS or it is free on WiFi.

Sorry my mistake, use FRING and it is all free and fully functional with SKYPE.

Fring has terrible voice quality issues with WM and it is the same reason why audio-routing is still not available in Skype for WM. If you want to use Fring, go for Nokia. If you want to use Skype, go for WM or iPhone.

I may go for HTC Touch Pro 2, but could anyone confirm the following:
*If it has weird call over FRING application;
*And if FRING/SKYPE is always available. I mean, it is always connect to the internet. i.e.: iPhone disconnect the internet a few seconds after no one is using the phone.

Hi, I just bought Touch Pro 2 and tried to download skype software to the phone, but it give the "invalid" error. Could u kindly guide me as what am i doing wrong with skype installation. thanx
