Hi guys,

Please excuse the lame question, but I've just started using Skype.

I'm in Canada, but will be living in Asia for 6 months.

I was wondering if I can use my SkypeIn and SkypeOut the the same way I was when in Canada?

Am I able to call my family and friends in Canada without paying long distance? My understand is, if my account is North American, so long as I have an internet connection, I can remain local to North American calls.

Or, does Skype know that I'm overseas, and charge me long distance rates?

If you could help out, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Yes, you can, subscriptions can be used anywhere, and you can make SkypeOut calls as well.

Yes, Skype can tell where you are calling from.

I can confirm that Skype is good at this. My office is in London UK, but this week I'm in a hotel in Moscow Russia. My clients do not realise, unless I tell hem.

Last week it was France.

It saves me a lot of money.
