I use Skype World Unlimited to make calls to landlines. I have not subscribed to the Caller ID feature.

When I call phones, "unavailable" often shows up on the person's call display unit. Or at least that's what I thought....

I was surprised today when a person I called told me my Skype ID/handle showed up on their phone's call display.

Is this normal?

My Skype ID is not my personal name, but a nickname I chose when I first joined Skype. I did not intend for this nickname to be displayed when making phone calls!
