I am sorry that Skype is running its own harware shop.
I am sure it would have been better to run a validation service, with all the existing products listed, and a thread behind each for user comments and a 1 to 5 stars voting system.

I got my fingers burnt with the RapidVoip box, and I won't be buying anything for quite a while.
I presume I won't get into trouble with a headset?

If you're interested in a headset then search the forums and web for reviews and buy at a local store. That way you can take it back with less hassle if it doesn't meet your expectations.
