I have installed skype and everything seems to waork very well. But when calling or someone is calling I cannot hear the ringing. I have tried all the options available in "Call alerts" but to no avail. Any suggestion?

Sorry to 'me too' but me too.
(Skype 1.2.0.17 / KDE 3.4 / 2.6.13 kernel)

Everything works, except I can't hear a ringing tone on incoming call. I have set the 'play ringtone on incoming' option. The file sound/call_in.wav exists in the Skype install directory (and '$aplay call_in.wav' even works so I can hear what a call's *supposed* to sound like.)

Anyone have any ideas?

(One minor thing, in the tools-options-hand/headsets dialog, the Ringing: drop-down box is disabled, though it shows /dev/dsp which is correct).
