with all the amount of problems with skype video on macs one would think that the Skype Lords would do SOMETHING. How about replicating the PC version of Skype video obviously with Mac software. Are mac users going to struggle forever! Macs are big in europe so what can be the problem.
Incidentally it was suggested that I make a log of my actions and add lines into 'shared xml' and add to the 'Terminal window' where unix exists. I've never messed around with the Terminal window has anyone made a log who could explain in detail how to do it on a Mac.

Make sure you are on the latest 2.8 Beta from here before posting any logs.

Also make sure you post exact steps to reproduce and add all 3 log files (lib log, ui log and trace log) and if you experience a crash, post the crash log from User/Library/Logs/CrashReporter.

You can post the logs here, send directly to me or even better, file a report in JIRA.

I got to "shared xml" but I did not see <localnode> (as per the logfile)

That's highly unlikely but...

1. Quit Skype.
2. Delete the shared.xml file.
3. Launch Skype again.

Now you should have a brand new shared.xml file.

Try enable logging again.

Hi There
I was hoping someone can help. I can see this topic has been approached before but still having problems. I have tried some of the ideas that have been mentioned previously but doesn't seem to be helping. I have uninstalled and reinstalled skype but again no go. I have 10.3.9 panther on my mac and not sure if this is a problem or not. Skype crashes as i am calling someone via the video. I only installed it yesterday and have bought a mac webcam and can see myself on it so i know it works. Any suggestions on what i could try. I am not over computer literate but know my way around if directed. Any ideas would be a great help. Thanks
Gina
