we have signed up to business control panel and have 3 users. One user already had 2 online numbers but we can't manage them from BCP.
Is this possible can we bring those 2 numbers into the BCP?

Yes, but the user will need to do that. From their account page to the BCP.

You are very welcome, and yes I agree

Currently for others to know how to do this.
1. Go to your account page and logon here:
http://www.skype.com/go/myaccount2. Once there, look for the "Business Control Panel" under settings and extras. Click on the "View Details" link there.
3. Click on the "Online Numbers" link
4. You will be able to transfer online numbers to the BCP ("Business Control Panel") from here. if you are a member of a BCP.
I am going to PIN this topic to help others to do the same as well.

Don't log in to your business control panel!!!
Log in to the account which has the online number. Then click (at the bottom of the page) the BCP link which you are a member of.
Then click on the name of the user that has the number you want to transfer then to the Online Number/s and you can choose to move it from there.
Hope that helps.

1. The Person doing this MUST already be a member of a BCP.
2. The person must have an Online Number ("Formally SkypeIn") to give to the BCP.
The person, NOT the BCP Admin, must logon to their account and transfer their number(s) from here:

While your logon name for the BCP maybe the same as your Skype name, a logon to the BCP, is not a logon to your Skype name account, please use the link I gave you, in my prior post and logon using the Skype name that owns the Online numbers, even if that name is the same name as the BCP admin name.

What can I do if I am the only member of the business control panel? Of course I am the administrator too! When I'm moving from my "private" account page to the businesscontrol panel I am always the administrator and never "just a member". In both of the pages (private and BCP) I can not find a link that gives me the possibility to add my private online number to the business control panel. It's the same situation as shown before with screenshots. Just a flag with the number and no link.
Is it perhaps possible to ask the helpdesk to add my private number to the BCP?

If you are a member of your BCP ("Your Private Skype name" then you also, can give your Online Number(s) to the BCP as well.
Simply logon to your Private Skype name, and transfer ANY Online Number(s) you have to the BCP, by using this link:

Hi
I thinks RobbieD don't understand that everyone try to tell to hom :
There is NO BUTTON to transfert the call number !
There is only the description text :
in French
"Ces numéros vous appartiennent. Vous pouvez les gérer et en prolonger l'attribution. Vous pouvez également transférer n'importe lequel de ces numéros vers carelis si vous souhaitez que l'administrateur de ce Panneau de configuration pour les entreprises gère les numéros à votre place à partir de maintenant."
in english
"These numbers belong to you. You can manage and extend these. Also, you can transfer any of these numbers to carelis if you wish to let the Administrator of this Business Control Panel to manage these numbers for you in the future."
NO BUTTON !!!!
I thinks there is a big bug !!
In a first time I was the user to have the number et the admin to BCP.
NO BUTTON
In a second time, I use an another account, I make it admin, I delete my right to admin panel, deconect, and I login to my user acount.
NO BUTTON
It's a ghost button ???
Why if I am user and the admin I can give my number to my business panel ???
Please, Skype, listen your users !!!!
If there is no bug, it very very difficult to do the move.
You must try do do it more easier...
I wanting for the solution....

There is NO button, it is a link to click on.
Logon as the user that owns the number using this link:
https://secure.skype.com/account/bcp/numbersIF The user is already a member of your BCP ("Business Control Panel") you will see a link for any number to transfer the number to the BCP.

What happens when you choose English as the language for your account pages? This would NOT be a fix but a possible work around, because I do not see that this use is in fact in your BCP from their account page.
Please file a support request will as much detail as possible so that this can be resolved correctly here:

There are a number of things. I currently have a subscription for unlimited with the US and Canada. Here's the questions I have:
1-Can I set up mutiple lines for people to call under my company. (I understand they have to have their own subscription) But I want it to be the same company name that is presented.
2-I would like the number that is displayed when calling(Caller ID) to be a 1800 number. Is that possible? Does Skype provide 1-800 numbers that people can call into and even to an extention list?
3-Voicemail--How does that work? Can multiple people access a single vm, or is it one VM per skype user?
Last, how come the form to request a support request doesn't allow me to sign in when I can sign in on other parts of the site.
Thanks

Currently, there are 3 options, where caller id is offered.
1. No caller id.
2. Caller Id of your Online Number.
3. Caller Id of your mobile.
There is not currently an ability to assign a 1-8xx number as caller id.
Not sure why a support request would fail with a logon that works, could you try loggijg into the forum and then submitting the request?
Online Numbers do not require a subscription, they can be purchased stand-alone, from the BCP for $30.00 U.S. per year, or $12.00 U.S. for 3 months.
You can then assign them, to any of your BCP members.

So what if I want to purchase a 1800 number else where. Can I have it connect with my SKype account? Also, Can I set up different accounts for people in my business, and have them use the same number that goes to a general vm provided by SKYPE? Also, can I show the company name on the caller ID?

I am having the same problem. I understand the difference between logging in to Skype and logging in to the BCP. I am the only administrator of the BCP I created for my company. I have two online numbers in my personal account and I want to assign one of them to my BCP. However, this is apparently not an option. I followed the instructions on this threat, repeatedly, and reproduced the same problem that others seem to be having. Namely, that whenever I get to the page where Skype is telling me "these numbers belong to you, you can manage and extend these" I see flags and numbers - but they are not clickable. There is nothing to do to actually assign them.

Hi, I just bought 2 online numbers. One for my employee and one for myself (I own them and am the admin). I was able to assign an online number to my employee and not to myself. How can I assign the 2nd number to my skpeid? I have a separate personal account with an online number, but it's a different user name.... is this part of the problem?

I've just purchased through the BCP and online number, but can't find any way to assign it to either myself or the other users in the BCP? How are we supposed to assign online numbers? I've followed all the online instructions but the screens don't seem to be anything like the descriptions. I've read this thread and am still puzzled. Online help seems very confused and unhelpful. I'm attempting a test of Skype to see if it could be useful for the business, at the moment it doesn't look good.

From:

Is there another solution to add the landline nubers we bought to specific skype users?

I have the same issue. I have an online number personally I want - need badly - to transfer to a BCP. 1500 business cards badly.
I login personally and hit the Business Control Panel Settings (to be clear, in my personal account). I bring up online numbers section. No option to move this to the BCP, simply 'These numbers belong to you. You can manage and extend these.' No links, no buttons, no nothing.
So at present ALL my Skype calls have to be transferred together, not just the ones coming in on this online number. It is a NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!

hi all,
I've purchased an online numbers through the BCP,
My problem is; I am unable to allocate the online number at all using my Business Control Panel or using my normal account. Other users in my BCP that also have admin privileges are unable to allocate the online number too.
I bring up online numbers section in my account and there is no option to allocate. Just extend or buy more numbers.
I have been all through your help files and forum and all I can find is this
http://heartbeat.skype.com/2009/07/online_...tion_in_bu.htmlPlease please help me fix this issue ASAP. As it has been a week and we need to use this number as it is now up on our website.

Folks, it looks like we're not going to be able to move numbers to our BCPs, I got this in reply to a ticket on the subject:
"Thank you for contacting Skype Support.
We are sorry for the issue to use online numbers.
Our records show that you have purchased those online numbers on your
personal Skype account, XXXXXXXX .
Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer already purchased online
number (SkypeIn) from one Skype account to another or Business Control

I concur.
I created the business account, paid for the number, paid for the service, but now I can't assign a number to my personal account, which is somehow being used as the admin account.
Is there a workaround? If not, I'll expect a full refund immediately.

I have the same problem as everyone in this thread. As a workaround, is it possible to choose which online number to use when calling out from my personal Skype account?
I am an Amercian journalist based in Chile. When I call a source in the U.S., I want to use my U.S. number. WhenI call a source in Chile, I want to use my Chile number. Is it possible to select that or is my Chile number only good for keeping the cost low for Chileans calling me?

I chatted with Skype support yesterday--much easier and more satisfying way than sending them an email, btw--and was told this:
1. Only numbers bought through BCP can be used in BCP. You cannot allot online numbers bought from your personal account to your BCP account.
2. Multiple online numbers bought through your personal account will all have the same caller ID and the same VM. Not so great if you need to have VM in two languages.
3. You can sign up for separate personal accounts and assign separate online numbers to each, of course, though I'm not sure yet if I can have two Skype windows assigned to two different users open on the same computer.

I have exactly the same problem as everyone else and it just makes no sense why Skype are being so inflexible. Their scripted responses are also frustrating and totally unacceptable.
Do they want Skype to be used by business? I am starting to think Skype is really just a consumer product and is more of a dream idea that it can trully offer a product for business. All of us are willing to pay for their service, purchase more subscriptions for our staff and buy more Skype hardware and products however Skype are turning down the business.
I am not impressed at all - it would be very simple for someone to transfer personal numbers over to business accounts and enable businesses to actually assign online numbers to their staff accounts.
Maybe LinkedIn and Twitter's new partnership will create a rival Skype service that will cater to the business community.

Like the original poster, I would like to move an existing "personal" online number to the BCP.
My goal is to use this existing number with Skype for Asterisk, and Skype for Asterisk works only with "business accounts" created in the BCP.
From reading this thread it is unclear to me if such transfer works for some people but not others due to some bug, or no longer works at all because Skype disabled it.
If this feature is disabled on purpose, is this for good? Is there any work-around? Getting a new online number through the BCP is not practical if you've advertised your old personal online number.
