I have experienced Skype on Mepis with an other Mepis user successfully, also with Windows XP, however, on my system, when I start up KDE, I get 6 Skype windows turning on, and this create havocs when the other user starts up a chat or rings me.
Does anyone knows where are the config files and if there is any setting adjustments that would relate to that?

I don't get your question.
Do u mean startup and they automatically load? If so, check /home/$USERNAME/.kde/Autostart

Hi,
What I mean is that when I boot up Mepis, Skype will autostart but will start 6 process, I get 6 windows of Skype opening up.
I checked the autostart in .kde but did not find any files in there.
Cheers!

I run Mepis 3.3.1-1 and Skype seems to work just fine for me. I'd suggest using Synaptec to uninstall your skype and then download the latest .deb from the Skype site and install it. You'll get an extra Skype entry in your menu, but use the one that was there originally (you can tell the difference) because it has some command line options for kde sound integration (you can delete the 'new' menu entry). I haven't installed the absolute latest version on Mepis yet, but someone else on this forum did and reported that it works just fine for him too.

Hi,
Thanks - as soon as I get to my system, I will do that, I hadn't realized there was a newer version.
Cheers!
