My business has been without phone service for almost a week now - I sent in a ticket to customer service on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 but have heard no reply.
For some odd reason, my account has been blocked and I have no idea why (SkypeID is lightbulbrobotics). I have been very careful to stay clear of the minute/number of callers limit, so I can't imagine that that's the problem. The only thing I can come up with is that I attempted to use Fring on my iPhone so that I can have access to my business clients when I'm away from my computer... did that cause the blockage?
Not only would I like my account to be un-blocked, but I would appreciate knowing what caused my account to be blocked: if it's just a random error, I'm afraid I'll have to take a closer look at the reliability of Skype's account practices...
Thanks in advance for any help the forum wizards can provide!

my account got blocked after installing and using Fring this weekend as well...not sure if that is what caused it or not. I'm waiting to hear back about my account being unblocked.

Skype blocked my call out features on my account. I put fring on my n95 and in 4 hours skype blocked my account from making skype out phone calls that I paid for.

This has happened with my account as well with TERRIBLE customer support from Skype, and my account not working for a week now!

Have any of you received word from Customer Service since you found your account was blocked? I have been told that there was a billing error, but after attempting to resolve the issue, have heard nothing.
I'm curious to hear what you have all had to deal with.

I had paid for their unlimited world plan monthly from my credit card + skypeout and skypein number.
I am setting up skype to work via an iPhone with Fring, IM, etc. I have been testing with very inconsistent results. Then I see my account is blocked.
I have written to customer support 5 times, given the information they asked for 3 times, 2 forum posts, 2 private message posts to forum admins.
Looks like Skype is on it's way out. I can't imagine how it can function without customer support. I am currently trying out JaJah and Truphone.
Enough of this Skype! I will need to contact my credit card company for this fiasco.

Skype was working fine until today. Now, it's completely blocked. I get an invalid email/password error when trying to setup Skype again on Fringe.

I am in contact with Fring currently, and they are looking into this matter.
Somehow, by the grace of someone, my Skype account is unblocked this morning. Did Fring wave their magic wand? Or was it Skype providing that exceptional customer service they are so well known for? Well, without communication one can only guess.
So, I am dinking with Fring and Skype right now. Let's see if that gets my account closed again, eh?

I have written to skype 5 times and no response in 6 days. They promise support in 48 hrs and six days later nothing. I wish I could still say positive things about skype but I will only speak and write negatively until they unblock my account or refund my money.

I send a support request to fring on the 19 of march. They replied today. They reported that nothing was done on their end and that skype had to fix my account. I wish someone from skype would read this forum soon.

It's now been over 3 weeks since my account was blocked. And, I've only heard from Skype customer support once in that time period, to which I replied and never heard anything back.
Is there any way to find out if customer support has accidentally forgotten about me?

I too have lost access to my skype out account. Now those who call me get a busy signal for the past three weeks!!!! I have sent a message every few days, but nothing. I spoke with someone at Vonage the other day and am going to transfer my Skype phone number to them and also contact my credit card company about receiving credit for the 3 weeks of no service.

I understand skype not offering support for their free service. I will keep using skype for their free service but after April 1 I will get magicjack or something else to replace skype. I have been very happy with skype until now.
That is why I went with them in the first place for their skypeout. Matt Groos wrote a piece in the NYT on the 24th of March about skypeout.

I am going to send him to this forum to see if he would like to write about the blocked skypeout calls and poor support skype has offered us.
