I have a problem with the Skype lite, I got it in my Sony ericsson k610i and I have successfully installed all data.

It says testing your connection, it says the error:Skype couldn't connect over your phone connection.

I have typed my user name and my password correctly and also my mobile number! as should starts like +44079.....

even I click in sign in, still I get same message error: Skype couldn't connect over your phone connection.

I called my virgin provider and they checked my mobile connection to internet, its working perfectly to access it, even I checked it myself!


Is there any help please with this problem!

I paid for this so I could use it on my mobile!

I even checked in your site skype for Compatible my phone models K610.


Please help me

(i dont own a sony so i dont know what the difference is) the website says the thin client is supported on the K610 but you say you have the K610i maybe there is no difference but could this be the source of your problems maybe?

failing that do you know if you phone is connecting using 3G / Edge

I could not either download the beta version for my Sony Ericsson W350, error from Skype!

I've been having the same problem as Jinnn. I am also on a Sony Ericsson k610i. Although, instead of "Skype couldn't connect over your phone connection", I have the error message "Sorry, unable to sign you in. Please try again later." This message has come up every time I've tried to connect in the last week. What could be the problem?

And Jinnn, I also had the error message you had earlier. I went to the internet settings and changed it from Vodafone Internet to Vodafone Gateway. I'm not sure if that would help you... You might just end up with the same error message I have...
