I purchased a new subscription last week; after selecting my local area code and city during the Skype To Go number set up process, an entirely different area code and number was assigned by your site (different state, too).
I submitted a support request more than 6 business days ago - I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE. This is
nota good way to treat new customers.
THIS IS A SIMPLE PROBLEM THAT ONLY YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT. CAN SOLVE - PLEASE HELP!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Please advise your Skype Username and the date you filed your support request in order to escalated your issue for early review.
PS : Please don't use upper case in title and don't duplicate message, it cause delay and don't help.

Customer service finally replied (after 6 business days); they will cancel my existing, incorrectly assigned Skype to Go number so I can choose a new one.
Let's wait and see how long it will take for them to do that!
Unbelievably poor customer service!

Hi,
I am having the same problem and so far I have sent two requests for support (first request : TE008 sent on 2/16/2008, second request : MA005 sent on 2/20/2008). I received a generic response for TE008 from Andre , here is what it said:

But that did not solve my problem. I am able to add another skype to go number but the main one is still in the wrong area code (707). Can someone please take that number off my account and just use the (408) number instead which is in my area code ?

All I need is to get 707 deleted, then moving the 408 number to be "Part of my unlimited US & Canada subscription

You can cancel the wrong number by yourself in your account then chose the one you want.

Hello,
I am also having a problem with my skype to go number. It has been deactivated and when I try to activate it, I get taken to the page to purchase a unlimited world subscription (despite already having one). To try and resolve the issue I clicked the subscription and I have been charged again (so have paid twice for March) but still the skype to go number is not working. I have had no answer from customer support. My skype name is: staceymonteith

Hi Bruno,
I had been trying since Thursday to create a new post! I dont find it it very user friendly to be honest. If it was clear how to create a new post I wouldve done so.
I contacted customer support on Thursday 3/5 and they promised a response within 48 hours but I still havent heard anything back

Customer service ask if you still want the 707 number to be deleted.
