Hi,
I think Skype is such a wonderful program!
Like many countless people around the world, Skype is currently on the way to become my communication of choice.
If I had programming skills, I would have loved to contribute patches
and improvements but unfortunately, the best I can do is advocate it.
Anyway, I have a favour to ask of you.
Is it OK for you to release Skype for Linux in the
autopackage format instead of just the usual RPMs, DEBs or .bin/.run scripts?
See http://www.autopackage.org if you are hearing about Autopackage
for the first time.
One Skype autopackage can be used to install the software on
all Linux distributions, most distributions, and programmers will
have more time to spend enhancing the program, instead of creating 100
different packages/installers for 100 distros.
I am technically not savvy enough to be able to do this, but if you
could help in this area, it will be soooo much greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance, and once again, congratulations on a
great job done.
