Hello.
Why does the Skype user interface look so ugly when running it in Gnome?

Easy, it was coded in QT rather than GTK+, your distro probably doesn't supply a universal theme like bluecurve/clearlooks for both qt and gtk.

Well, is there an easy solution to this easy question then :?:

-Henriette[/quote]You may use qtconfig to configure basic theme for QT, or if you have KDE installed, you may use KControlCenter for it and use the themes provided by KDE.

Hi, Im a gentoo user and I have merged skype and it works fine. I too dislike this yucky Qt interface. Problem is, the qtconfig command doesnt seem to be available to me. What packages is it part of? I have merged qt, is there something else i should merge in order to have access to this command?

qtconfig comes with QT and is installed in /usr/qt/3/bin/. Make sure that the QT-bin folder is on your path. (If you just emerged QT and skype but did not login again, then your PATH environment will not have been updated)
