is there someone know how to start multi skype instances in Linux simultaneously (one per user), i know it is possible in Windows, but my preliminary test show that it seem impossible to do the same thing in Linux.

Hello,
I'd also be interested in the answer to that question. I am planning a terminal server environment so I'd need to run one skype instance per client. Would I need to run those on the client machine itself (which would be a major pain in the ass seeing as I'd need to have quite some cpu power and space for it) or is there another solution? Has anyone tried that? Guess relaying audio over the network isn't a good idea anyway.
Thanks for any pointer given,
Henrik

Without problems I can start 2 skype instances.
I tested it the following way:
1. I started Skype with my normal linux user account (non root) and with my normal Skype account.
2. Then I started Skype with my root account and with my normal Skype account.
No problemo Both instances where running simultaniously!
So you'll need to have a linux user account per terminal user.
So - if you still have problems, what have you exactly tried to do?
