Hi,

i have fixed my alsa settings so i can use multiple soundssources, but when i call or talk to someone at skype, skype isolates.

Im only able to hear the skype sounds.

Id like to use xmms at the same time, and here the gaim sounds.
Is it possible to fix?

When i start xmms after i started skype i gets a messages saying: soundcard busy.
And i cant hear any system sounds .
Vice versa its the same, skype freezes if i plays a song when im trying to call.

could you tell me how did you got multiple soundssources working in linux, cos i have the same problem and dont have any idea wher to start

mk[/quote]Check the sticky FAQs here on the forum... to get multiple paralell audio streams, you will need to setup dmix, but this works only for alsa applications...
So as soon as you use kernel-emulated OSS, this is the only app that can use your card.

Other option is to buy a better audio card which supports hardware mixing, and whose alsa driver supports it as well!
