Second question inside the first one: when will Skype propose it in my "beautyfull" country ???

Go ahead, I'm sure I'm not alone waitin' for it, I know that my buddies are ready to buy it.

THX and be fast, PLZ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can I buy it in Austria and use it in France?

No, you cannot use a native 3-skype service outside 3-network. Though you can sure use a general Skype Java-app available to download from skype.com for many mobile handsets.

It won't be free to use it for Skype calls and chats but you'll be paying a reasonable price of a local call to reach your Skype mates abroad.

How it works.
For outgoing calls Skype on your handset places a call to a nearest to you gateway via GSM/3G so in many places it just costs calling a land-line in your country. In this case your mobile operator charges you.

For incoming calls you would have to have a non-zero Skype credit and incoming call will cost you same as calling mobiles from Skype in your country. In this case your Skype credit is charged by Skype.

Many thanks for your precise answer, al_mon...

I still have a further question though... I know the several unlimited SkypeOut account don't work for "home call" with the 3skypephone, only for international calls. Does anyone know if it does work for both home and international calls with the Java-App on my mobile handset?

Thanks!

Hi.

SkypeOut will not work for domestic calls from 3Skypephone. Even the menu for that is called "Call phones aboard". I think placing domestic calls via SkypeOut is in contrary with common sense to "Three". If ppl call via SkypeOut locally, how would "Three" earn money as a mobile operator? :-)

Hi!

Yes, sure, that's quite logical. But i mean: would that work with any other cellphone, e.g on my Sony Ericsson?

Thanks!

Thank you for your explanation smile.png I observed this too when the call is initiated, Skype service number is dialled and automatically placing a phone number right after that.

Cheers,
