Could anyone be as kind as to drop me the lang file for the latest Skype release?

The easiest way to do this is to download the latest Skype version, which has the latest lang file.
And then just press Edit>Edit Skype language file... Edit the last strings (translate) and wuolia, you have it fresh.

This works only under Windows.

I do not use Windows, fortunately. In the meantime I got a copy.

And even if I used Windows, it is still unreasonable to download 6.5MB of stuff only to get a few hundred KB text.

Thanks to all for the 1.2.0.41. The Serbian translation was updated with success.

For those that want to use GNU Gettext for the translation, the POT file for 1.2.0.41 is also available.

Note that, to use skype2po correctly with msgmerge, you need to get the latest skype2po.

1) Could anyone be as kind as to upload 1.2.0.48 here? (i.e. the latest as of this writing)
2) Could Skype.com be as kind as to start publishing .lang files regularly somewhere?

FYI: .lang for v.1.2.0.48 is exactly the same as for v.1.2.0.41

There are some differences (mostly grammatical corrections) and two new lines.

Changes were made at lines: 294, 413, 1435, 1440, 1446, 1449, 1450-3, 1459, 1462, 1463, 1526, 1623, 1708, 1714-7, 1720, 1721, 1770, 1891, 1901, 1904, 1905, 1924-6, 1944, 1948, and 1950, but as I said: mostly grammatical corrections and more accurately descriptions.

thanks for the list of the corrected lines. when was the beta released? i've been checking new versions pretty often (using the automatic version check), and even the final release showed up several days after it was dated.

BETA was released on June 2nd.

"Check for updates automatically" is not working on my PC at all and even manual "Check for Update" failed several times.

And FYI: the newest version 1.3.0.48 was released today. Lang file is the same as for previous version 1.3.0.45.

There were added two new lines in lang file for version 1.3.0.51.
