Hi I have the same problem with Fedora core 3.

They can always here me well, but incoming sound becomes bad after some time.

After reboot it works better for a while, and then the same happens.

Hi ,
My problem was solved after i set up the duplex mode for the sound devise.

In KDE you can do it from control center -> soundsystem
on the heardware tab check "full duplex"

after that I run it with
artsdsp -m skype

I tried directly too and it works OK so far.
