Full Version: Unable to get refund for unused credit on business account

I wish to get a refund for unused credit on my business groups so I sent a request to support 9 days ago accordingly with the instructions in knowledgebase:

"Can I get a refund for unused credits in the Business Control Panel?

Once you've allocated credit to a user it cannot be refunded. However, if your control panel has a positive balance and you no longer wish to use this credit, it can be refunded by submitting a request to Customer Support.
"

So far I haven't got a single response from support which seems quite a common case but at the same time rather convenient for Skype as $1000 is quite a big amount of money and it looks like they don't like the idea of giving it back.

Could somebody help?

You can also file a request for refund referencing Ticket #92853 with as much detail as possible here: http://support.skype.com/?_a=tickets&_m=submit

You were told your accounts were blocked due to funding spammers in Skype here. It is up to you to file a request for refund.

I am not sure what you meant. I did sent a request 9 days ago. So far no answer. As I understand the fact that the accounts are blocked has nothing to do with my rights to get a refund (please see the link to the knowledgebase) and so far I still haven't got an official response for my previuos requests as well.
TheUberOverlord
ok, so your support request 9 days ago was for a refund? I am working with customer service on this same ticket #92853, but for a refund.

Thank you, I appreciate your help.

5 weeks have past since I asked Skype support to return my money but I haven't got any reply which probably means that nobody is going to respond. I am ready to take other measures against Skype as I am not willing to leave it this way nor donate $1000. Please advise what else can be done except contacting non-existing support.

So far there is no response.
12.12.2008 I sent an email to support@skype.net in which I described this issue.
No answer…

Unfortunately the moderator TheUberOverlord is not responding (asked twice via PM about the status). Could some other moderator take care of this and give an update for the status of the ticket #92853, if it ever existed?

Doesn't Skype have another way to earn money then stealing them by blocking accounts and keeping silent? I did not support any spammers, so even the reason for blocking my accounts is taken out of the blue. That $1000 still belongs to me and this is nothing but a theft. Can you imaging some bank blocking your account, closing the doors for you and not giving your money back just because they think you should not have lent your money to your relatives or something like this?

I am also unable to contact customer serivce for a refund (for different reasons). I suggest that everyone looking for quality customer service stay far away from Skype.

Thanks for your PM.
This issue seems to have ''slipped between the cracks''.
All I need is your username to get it up and running again.

I would like to mention that I really appreciate Norman Musgrave's help. Unfortunately Skype Support does not wish to respond even to him. The only response we got was recommendation from Skype to chargeback my transactions ("Skype advises that you need to request a chargeback from your bank"). Can you imagine that it is coming from Skype! I guess they advised it because they know that there is no way for me to chargeback 6-month-old transactions.
I want to warn everybody who wants to use Skype business solution that you won't be able to get your money back except chargebacking, regardless what Skype say here http://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA565/Can-...ch&q=refund

Probably I should ask Skype Security Department to check the balance on my business accounts because I suspect that administrators, who blocked them, spent all of the credit or part of it long time ago, otherwise they would not have given such a strange advice. I have no way to check the balance and it is easy for somebody with certain access rights to use my business groups behind my back.

Update.
I sent two registered letters directly to Skype head office. First one was delivered at the end of March and I got the answer right away. It came from support@skype.net with empty subject field and its content had nothing to do with my request. Nevertheless I answered all asked questions. Then, after one more month, having no answer I sent the second letter. The second response came almost immediately in the middle of May from fr_support@skype.net. The subject of the email contained finally some number but the third line said: “Please do not send us your query per post mail anymore.”
Almost one more month has passed since then. Please, give me advice what else I can do.

Update.
So far there is no news from Skype. It is sad to be completely ignored.

Set yourself up a 1 page website with your issue with Skype and link it to this thread and sites such as http://www.complaintsboard.com/bycompany/skype-a20056.html

Use the right web-site name, the right keywords and you will soon find your web information up there with people just googling Skype.

When Skype start pushing you to take the site down, threaten court action, etc; then welcome it with open arms. :-)

Does placing a lawsuit against Skype make sense?
