Hi
If you're having problems redeeming vouchers or you have any questions about vouchers, please check our new Voucher section on the Skype knowledge base:
Voucher FAQRegards,
Ana
Unfortunately,Ana,Skype Support or even filing a support request is about as useless as the link such a request is submitted on.
I have been trying without any success,I may add,to get my Skype Voucher, redeemed, since the 23/10/08.
This is what I posted to another Forum member and am no nearer getting my Voucher accepted:
23/10/08 My Posting:Why is it that after obtaining a Skype Voucher at a supermarket I cannot still redeem it and charge my account? After making 3 attempts yesterday to redeem,I got a red-lettered Error Flag,so gave up,and instead sent Support a request.
I decided to try again this morning, same 3 attempts Error Flag.I gave up and sent Support yet another request.I then tried again this evening, yet frustratingly, that same 3 attempts only permitted Error Flag.
Perhaps my maths is wrong, because I only make that 2 attempts? Skype is quick enough to send a message that unused Credit will expire,blah-blah-blah,but not so efficient when it comes to trying to redeem a Skype Voucher!
Any ideas as Support seems to be a complete waste of time?
Response:DON'T enter a dollar sign, simply enter the amount like 20.00 as an example.
If this is a Walmart Card. Use this link to redeem it:
My Posting:No,it is not a Walmart Card, just a plain Skype VOucher with an 19-digit number to enter, and value figure entered is a plain numerical figure of 10.
A Voucher payment redemption was accomplished without any issues 6 months ago,so why the problems now?
Why the incorrect 3 attempts error flag when in fact less than 3 attempts have been made on a different day?
There is a serious flaw in Skype's software if it cannot distinguish between one attempt and three attempts
Response:If you have not filed a support request yet, please do so now with as much detail as possible here
27/10/08 My Posting:1)I'm fed up with Skype support.I have already filed yet another support request.Fat lot of good it did me
2)I do not enter a $ sign or a £ sign,I just enter a figure 10 but it keeps repeating a message to re-enter data, and when I get to the 3rd attempt, that is it.I'm then blocked from making any further attempts
3)but I will try your suggestion of including the Voucher number.Let's see where it gets me

It seems that Skype is pretty quick off the mark trying to 'confiscate' credit which has not been used up for some time in making calls, etc, but not so quick when it comes to providing a support that is worth crowing about.
