I have been using Skype 4.0 Beta 2 for Windows, and recently noticed that my Outlook 2007 contacts are no longer available. They were available in the 3.x version that I was previously using. I have tried toggling Show Outlook Contacts in the Contacts menu several times - no difference.
Is anybody else experienceing this issue? If it is not resolved quickly, I may have to switch back to the 3.x version.

Will this feature in final version of Skype4.0? If not I'd rather roll back to 3.8

Sorry, but this makes no sense.
Skype 3 shows Outlook contacts.
Skype 4 has an option to "show outlook contacts", but doesn't.
Raul states: "sorry I can not give any future looking statements". Helpful. Not!
Why has the functionality been removed? When will it be put back?
In the interim, I'm going to upgrade to Skype 3, similar to the way I upgraded from Vista to XP.

At last! Ever since I have had Skype Beta I have been struggling trying get my Outlook Contacts. I've reported this so many times but never had a good answer. And now I have - although it's commands are there, it's not implemented and it doesn't say so! What?? Surely this feature is about as important as they come?
I'm glad to have found the answer, so will be ditching 4.0 and going back to 3.8 as well.

This problem doesn't look fixed in version 4.0.0.206 that just rolled out. I got an email about how late and grea this new version is and downloaded it without checking to make sure it wasn't going to ruin my day. Without my outlook contacts displaying in skype the way they used to I basically have no use for it. this sucks.
Can anyone tell me the easiest / quickest way to get rid of this new version and re-install an older version that still has all the useful capabilities?
Thanks

I've been watching this issue quite closely. What I have pieced together is:
1) It is a known issue. The actual problem is that only users who are both skype and outlook users are displayed.
2) It wasn't left out purposefully, it was a mistake.
3) They are working on it. Its supposedly fixed in an unreleased version of skype that some people are testing now. My guess is the fix is not yet released because they didn't want to say it was fixed when it was still broken.
Anyway, hopefully that answers your questions. I'm waiting for it anxiously.

I find this unbelievable - I have just upgraded to V4 and most of my Outlook contacts have not shown in Skype - as somebody else said this is a key feature. I can't believe I was encouraged to upgrade with this major issue. Goes without saying I have gone back to 3.8 - actually a much simpler and clearer interface anyway!
