Full Version: No response from support about blocked accounts

All my 4 business groups were blocked on Sept. 26th without any explanation or prior notification. More than 10 days ago I sent 4 support requests, one for each group and so far I haven't got any response from Skype nor ticket number even if they promised to response in 48-72 hours.
The approx. amount of credit is $1000 which makes those accounts rather valuable to me. I don't know if it is Skype policy or actions of some quick-witted Skype employees who want to earn extra money by blocking accounts and later using those accounts but it is disgusting.
It does not look like my case is a big exception if you read other people's posts above and I wonder what kind of company would allow itself treat customers like that? Probably too much customers to deal with and they want to get rid of extra ones . I have never seen such attitude and it is definitely far from business level which they claim to be offered with business groups.
Here is what really offered with business groups and probably with other Skype services:
1. There is no other way to contact Skype except sending support requests, which stay non-responded and actually you even cannot prove that you sent the request as you don't have a ticket number.
2. Your money is in Skype's possession and nobody is going to return them to you because the only way to get money back is again contacting support via sending request
3. You are treated like nobody and like you never gave any money to Skype.

I have not seen any posts from people who were in the same kind of situation and solved the problem. So it looks like accounts stay blocked. I wish I saw this kind of posts before I decided to deal with Skype. As it is too late for me I hope it is not too late for somebody else.

Could somebody help me too? I have been waiting for a response from support for more than 2 weeks already. I have 4 groups blocked with ap. amount of credit $1000. Yesterday I sent information about this to TheUberOverlord via email along with the names of the groups but I am not sure whether he will help me or not. I will appreciate any help or advice on how I could solve this problem.

I have to post my request again as the topic "What's going on with blocked accounts" disappeared today along with my post in it. Probably I am getting paranoid after waiting for so long for a response from Skype support and starting to see conspiracy everywhere. I hope I am wrong and it is nothing more than coincidence.

I have 4 business groups blocked with quite a lot of credit and I cannot get response from support for 20 days. I am asking for help from moderators and for any advice anybody could give me. I could see that people who had waited less got some help here but not me. I understand that it is not moderator's work to help us to deal with "non-existing" support but I would appreciate it a lot. If this is the wrong place to ask for help please let me know what next step I should take. Sending registered letter to headquarters? Visiting eBay office nearby?

Are you reselling Skype services, without the permission of Skype? If so, this is a violation of the Skype terms of service agreement:

I am suffering the same stonewall response from Skype Support about a hijacked account. I posted my first support request 16 days ago and am yet to receive a reply to any of the 5 support requests I have submitted so far.

Reading all the other posts on all these forums it is clear that this is a pretty familiar story. Skype support simply does not take any action on stolen accounts and particularly where they involve funds being stolen from the unfortunate user.

I even had an email from someone who after reporting to Skype that they had taken an unauthorised payments from his credit card, they blocked his account and stopped him posting on these forums to ask for help.

This is pretty much the Ebay formula for dealing with these sort of issues, block the victim out as much as possible and don't communicate with anybody.

It's ironic that for a communication company they don't communicate with anyone that asks for their help.

I have just sent you a PM ("Private Message") with instructions

To all you out there who have paid good money and then had your accounts blocked.

Don't even bother trying to get Skype Support to help. Skype support is non existent.

Do a charge back on your credit card. This is the only way to ever get your money back.

Hit them in their back pocket and they may do something about their lousy support.

1. Accounts are unblocked every day.
Look around you at Forum posts.
Between Forum and PMs I have advised 12 users today alone that their accounts are unblocked.

2. Bad advice.
Doing a charge back will simply add to the length of time it takes to unblock.

p.s. Please note that double posting is in contravention of Forum rules.

I agree with you completely. I would have done what you had advised without any hesitation but unfortunately I used another way of payment and Skype knows it and so does not bother to respond for almost 2 months. I got some response via TheUberOverlord, thanks to him, which you can see above but it is not really an official response and what is more it claims something which really needs to be proved. I really don't care much whether my accounts get unblocked or not because I don't think anymore that this service worth using it. But I am trying to get my money back and so far no response for 3 weeks. I wish I had paid by credit card. I feel like I have been robbed.
