I must already have the east asian languages pack installed, because I can see Japanese kana (hiragana, katakana, etc.), but I was wondering how I type these kana in Skype. Thanks for any info

I found your post asking how to type kana in Skype. I too have been trying to find out how to do this for a while and I was wondering if you'd managed to find out how to do it.

I have already installed East Asian Languages to the computer and can see the characters in Skype but cannot type in kana.
