Norman;

I have been trying to get ahold of someone at Skype. I have someone who keeps changing my password and topping up my skype account from my card then calling Morrocco for hours each day.
I have complained.
I have disconnected the paypal top up feature
& preparing to abandon skype & go to another service.

Anything that can be done before I take the last drastic step?
I LOVE SKYPE!

Regards

frustrated user.

Hi
WHY HAS MY ACCOUNT BEEN BLOCKED? My sign-in is davlawcra.

I used this service more than a year ago. I paid Y1,500 (Jp Yen). I made one short call to Australia--to a land line phone. I thought that the call would be cheap. It cost more than a direct call from Japan using the very expensive NTT.

I had a Y900 balance. I was told that that "EXPIRED" (sounds like an excuse to steal my money).

I tried to log on the other night. I was blocked. I tried to pay some more money to top off my account. I was blocked on that too.

I sent a formal complaint on 1/31. I have yet to hear from Skype.

Based on what I have read so far, I guess that I probably will not hear from "customer service". Your company is lacking is "customer service" from what I can tell. Then, again, this does not surprise me.

You are posting in entirely the wrong area to seek assistance.
I have just found your post and have arranged for your account to be unblocked straight away.

There are many precautions that you can take for this, one being when you install Skype only install it for the Administrator / (Your Windows Username) account. You can also install one of many different parentla block programs

My Skype account was recently hacked and I have made a new name to log in until I can get my old account back. Whoever did this has also changed my e-mail address. Is there anyone at Skype that I can contact to straighten this mess out? The hacked account still has my legal name on it which is causing me no undue amount of stress.

You're fortunate I found your post when I did.

Hi All
I need some help but first maybe someone can help with the lingo, what does PM me, mean? and with regard to the opening page what is "pinned" and the signification of the Red flag or lock?.

I do actually have a security problem that I hope someone will explain to me, as I have mailed Skype for info and they have just ignored the question and I did not get the courtesy of a reply or answer.

My problem is, although I have set my preferences to “Private” as I do not want anyone but friends contacting me, and I get lots of unsolicited requests from people who I do not want contacting me.
How do these people see me?? and how can I stop them contacting me??

Many thanks tyler.

1. PM = Personal Message.
If you wish to send someone a message but don't wish to publish it on the public Forum click on their name >> Send Message.
2. ''Pinned'' means that a message of some significance and designed to be of assistance to users has been pinned to the top of the relevant Forum section by a Moderator.
[You can see examples which I and other Moderators have pinned to this Forum section.]
Sometimes we will lock a notice which prevents anyone from adding posts to it.
The same applies if we lock a thread.
3. You can't prevent other users from contacting you initially.
[They may be people you wish to add to your contact list.]
If they are not, you can block them from contacting you again.

p.s. If you have an issue with which you require assistance please post it on the relevant Forum section e.g. ''Security''.
''Coffee Corner'' is not a help area and is usually visited by a Moderator for monitoring purposes.

Hello,
I have deleted any of your Forum posts which contained your username.
[Only a Moderator can delete posts].
To reduce unwanted approaches I would suggest that you don't set your status to ''Skype-Me!''.
