i'm planning to hire an assistant to help me contact my clients and potential clients via telephone, and one problem is going to be the caller id information. i want the return number to be my office number because i often get called back during off-hours with a response like "yeah, i got a call from this number...".

i don't want my assistant to be getting called at home at the unreasonable hours these people call me (ie 10pm or later), nor do i want them to end up getting an answering machine if i'm available, but far away from the number used to make the call.

i've experimented with a couple of voip clients that allow entering any information i want into the return number field, but they weren't conducive to making several hundred calls a week.

It is possible to set caller id to show your mobile number.

This is done on the following page: https://secure.skype.com/store/intl/en/settings/cli/request

Your assistant can set the CLI to show your cell/mobile phone number.
