Hi,

Some of you may have noticed that we have changed the name of SkypeChat.com to SomeoneNew.com.

The reason that we did this is because of a series of events in the last few weeks.
First of all, we received a Cease and Desist letter demanding 10,000 Euros for infringement of the Skype trademark (in our domain name).

When we contacted Skype about this, they informed us that the letter was fraudulent and not from them.

However, it did make us think about the situation and we decided that it would be safer to just change the name - after all there was no real benefit to us in having Skype as part of the domain name.

There is another thread in this forum about SkypeChat.com, but since we have changed the name, I think that I should start a new one.

For those of you that don't know, SomeoneNew.com is a place to meet other Skype users - with a strong emphasis on dating.

The site is growing very quickly (over 900 active users) and we have been developing it largely thanks to the feedback from people on this forum and through the feedback form on our website.

It was meant to be a bit tongue in cheek like on the TV series little britain, "I am a Lady, I do Lady things", not sure if that will make sense but it was just a bit of fun.

I see. Not being a Brit, I have not heard of the "Telly" series you refer to. ;-)
