Hi,
I have a strange problem with skype: When it starts up, it uses the Plastique style which is neither configured in systemsettings (QT4) nor kcontrol (QT3). When I open up qtconfig, the Oxygen style is preselected. But when I select it again and click "save" in the file-menu, the Oxygen style now is applied correctly to Skype. But only for the active session, closing Skype and reopening it brings back the Plastique style.
Why is this setting not saved and applied at startup of skype? Any ideas?

Skype is currently locked to the Cleanlooks theme.
You can use the command-line parameter --disable-cleanlooks to change this behaviour. It's currently done due to some specific widget renderers that only work correctly under this theme currently (such as the button renderers).

This works, great! :-) I have seen no serious render problems with the QT4 Oxygen style, only the two buttons on the lower right ("skype menu" and "add contact") are cropped by a few pixels but that is a minor problem.
