is anyone ever use Skype on the new version OpenSuse 11.0? does it working fine? I'm currently downloading it and plan to upgrade my 10.3 to 11.0 but I'm afraid that Skype might have a problem with this new version of OpenSuse. I'm planning to install the new version next week so your reply is highly appreciated.

Skype in itself is working fine but my webcam which uses ov511 won't work anymore while with the right patch was working with Suse 10.3

Skype and OpenSuSE 11.0 are working fine for me.

Yast solved all dependencies automatically. There was nothing left for me to do.

Skype works fine for me on openSUSE 11.0 (both 64bit and 32bit).
If you are running Gnome you will most probably see (hear) some audio quirks because of pulseaudio but it basically works if you change the sound settings in Skype.

I guess it kind of depends on what you mean by "works fine".

I use Skype on SuSE 11.0 x86_64 with gnome, nvidia, and compiz-fusion. It definitely works, but there are a number of issues that I believe are QT4.4-related, including a missing "self" window in the video pop-up (it's there, but over-written by the incoming video), an icon in the gnome tray that gets messed up, and some funny artifacts when editing lines in chat.

I've tried all of the available QT4.4 rpms. The earliest ones (QT 4.4.0 rpms) also have missing buttons on the video window. There is no QT 4.3 32-bit rpm for x86_64 that I have found.

Still waiting for Skype and QT to get together to sort this stuff out.
