Hi,

It looks like there are a few new features in Skype 4.0 beta such as more than one Skypeout numbers per contact.

Is it possible to get the Skype 4.0 API/Skype4com specification?

Thanks in advance.

Nothing -new- has been added to the public API. However..

1. Current 4.0 public API contains nearly all of the 3.8 API, but not all of it. Following API commands are not (yet) functional:

SEARCH ACTIVECHATS
OPEN CALLHISTORY
OPEN CONTACTS
OPEN CHAT<ID>
CREATE EVENT
DELETE EVENT

Also, BTN_RELEASED and BTN_PRESSED commands are not quite up to full previous functionality. For example: btn_released can be used to enter digits into dialpad but up/down does not move focus in contact list.

2. The rest of the public API should work in 4.0. Note: -should-. There have been several changes "under the hood" that can affect behaviour of current Extras under circumstances that we have not managed to througly test yet. For example, accessing chat object properties via Skype4Com resulted in error as the queries for those properties are no longer case-insensitive in 4.0.

If you have published appications then now is a good time to test if they run properly with current 4.0 beta. The sooner we get 4.0 beta into stable 4.0 - the sooner we get resources to start implementing new things to public API.
