Does anyone know why the latest version is not in the repository yet? 2.0.0.72 is available for download but ony 2.0.0.68 is in the repository.

Did you download the update by clicking on the link in the website or did your package manager see the update in the repository?

Which version are you using, I am using the deb version for Ubuntu?

I am running same version and Synaptic Pkg Mgr still shows 2.0.0.68

the short answer is that Skype screwed up

they have now been informed of the oversight and the issue should be fixed very soon
