The group that I work with is located all over the world, and we often have teleconferences with the entire group. Up until now we had been using highspeedconferencing.com since it gave our users the option of joining the conference via either skype or via phone for those in areas where data connection is limited.

Not long ago highspeedconferencing.com was purchased by vapps.com, and unfortunately the quality of their free service has been going downhill ever since. This morning for example we had to cancel a conference altogether since nobody was able to get in.

So before I get vapps.com's paid services in hope they will be more reliable once they have my money, is there any other company out there that offers such services? That is the ability of joining into conferences via skype and telephone? And to self-moderate the conferences?

Thanks.

That's more of a messaging service, and it doesn't work for people on telephones. And you must add them to your group beforehand, not to mention each participant must have an account with them.

What I'm looking for is setting-up teleconferences where people can join in either via skype or phone. In many of our central offices several people join in a room with a teleconferencing system such as a Polycom unit and either dial or skype into the conference. This avoids having too many connections into the teleconference which causes noise. People at home or on the road can usually join in via Skype from their laptops. And those in areas with little to no internet service can dial in from a local land line. That's how we'd been holding our monthly staff meetings for the last couple of years, using the old highspeedconferencing.com service. But their free service has become too unreliable.
