Camera Unibrain firei ieee1394

It looks like the Camera is working, but Skype can not find any camera.
So I think I am missing something.

I hope someone can help me. Below ar some more details of my system.

I have a Unibrain Fire-i connected to Debian Lenny, kernel 2.6.26. Coriander gives an image from the camera but not Skype. Can you get an image from any application?

Hello Peter,

I only get the immage with coriander.

I cant do further tests, because the mainboard of my computer failed and it is since 3 month for warranty repair.

However, I read somewhere you need to resend, reroute or link the stream to a usb device, because skype can only identify usb.

Maybe it helps if you look arount at the homepages faqs and mailings of iee1394 and coriander.

Good tip. A vloopback package is in preparation. It appears promising to me at least. http://ftp-master.debian.org/new/vloopback_1.1-1.html . I'll defer the question until vloopback is available from the deb archive.
