Full Version: 23 unrdeemed vouchers

Someone stole my account, and now paypal gave it back. Out of 40 purchased gift certificates, i have 23 unused that would like to put in my account, since skype and paypal are rude and unresponsive.

When i try to give myself the voucher it keeps giving me error. Can someone please help?

Do you wish to use the 23 vouchers to add to your Skype credit balance?

Yes i would love to, since thief didnt get a chance and paypal is not interested in dealing with me, i would like to use them. Just waiting untill september to expire sound bit unproductive. So i want to transfer them to skype credit balance (some are $5 and other 5Euro)

2. Here is the error message "Voucher status error, unable to redeem"

When i go back to my vouchers - distribute page, it nicely list 23 as unredeemed

We can forward your issue to Support but read below first and then report back on the forum:

You need to submit a ticket to Customer Support to solve your problem, the Forum is not an official Support Channel.
Replies to Support Tickets can take a minimum of 2 working days and to blocked accounts even 4 because details need to be verified by third payment processors.

For submitting Support Tickets you need to click the submit button twice. The second time is after you are directed to the page where you are advised to browse the FAQ first.

After submitting the second time you need to receive a confirmation.

Check your SPAM settings and the SPAM folder at the server to receive mails from Skype.

If you have done all this and still no reply from Support, please PM (Private Message) me the date you sent your ticket, your username and I will forward to Support.

I received email from person named Katri (seems like company as big as skype, doesnt really like to give details about their contact persons), on April 15th, almost 2 weeks ago, asking me to give her voucher number. I forwarded all 23 unredeemed vouchers to her, repeatedly, but that didnt help.

I cannot belive i am dealing with this for almost 2 months now. How irresponsible and incompetent skype is.

Is there any other solution then to wait until they all expire?

I forwarded the information above directly to Katri.

FYI: Logging on to this Forum with your Skype username and password, is since 2006! And of course it is not for theft...

I feel so much better now, knowing that a)Katri is bot, not a real person, or b) really dyslexic person. I canot wait to send her all the info again, so i can get another thank you note, while nothing is being done.

And Katri still didn't move her finger. 48 hours, actually make that 48 days later. Maybe Katri is just a bot, that doesnt care about customer like the rest of corporation?

The money is charged back by PayPal after you contcted them and the vouchers are msot likely cancelled because of that.

So seems like it was delivered. But those delivered were stolen. Can you please explain something to me. Why are only vouchers in my possesion not usable, however the stolen ones are nicely distributed. That is amazing concept to me.

And secondly, can someone please explain almost 50% currency exchange??? Transaction in USD my native currency, slap, 18.28 fee, then in Euro, ok we feel like charging more for that one, lets say, 26.41. Oh, wait i should be thankful i got 1.50 bonus. But that is unusable again.

Please explain why you think they are stolen. As far as I know they were cancelled due to the charge back of PayPal and therefore you could not redeem them. Do you have proof they were stolen before you received them? Screenshots, names etc.? if so, please forward it via a Private Message.

26.41 is not the charge for the currency conversion, it just represents the amount of credit use had on your Skype account before the conversion.
