Skype web status does not seem to be working in the new beta version view bug report here.

I checked before writing this post and it seems to be working. Maybe it was a temporary glitch?

Looks like you could be right it is also now working for me lets see how it goes before I update my "Jira" report.

It seems to be server side problem. We are looking into it. Failed for me this morning also.

Is the server side issue supposed to be fixed now, as my status is still not showing on the web after several years of uninterrupted service!?

I am editing the above post as I have just discovered a potential bug with the web status, concerning the use of a small and / or big icon (valid at the time of writing April 16th 2008):

1.) Go to http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/share/buttons/wizard.html

2.) Enter Skype user name in the appropriate field

3.) Select 'Show' for Skype Status

4.) Select 'Icon' for Content

5.) Select 'Big' or 'Small' for Size

When you preview your button you are presented with either a big or small (depending on the size you chose) grey icon with a question mark, instead of the appropriate web status icon to reflect your current status.

This doesn't seem to affect any of the other button choices.

The web presence section of the forum has been turned off for the time being as it was causing a very big slow down in forum pages loading.
