I am a business man, and I make lots of calls from home. Will buying a skype number for my local area make it so that the people I am calling can associate a number with the call (i.e. 555-555-5555), or does it take some configuring I can do for free?

Hey! It'd be like pay'n' myself, would'n' it?

I see http://support.skype.com/index.php?_a=know...ils&_i=1263

(For Configuring), but
I see http://support.skype.com/index.php?_a=know...ils&_i=1269

(Saying I can't use it anyway)

Do I have this correctly?

Does it mean that there is NO NUMBER I could use to make myself identifiable? Even a OCUNUS?

No, it means that you can't have caller ID if your SkypeIn number is from one of those countries. Other countries, like the UK, support caller ID.

I am In the US. So I need to simply buy a number from UK or other, Right?

If you definitely need a caller ID, yes. Or one in Sweden, Denmark, Japan, Hong Kong, Estonia or Poland.

Note that the best country to buy SkypeIn is that where most people will call you without extra costs.
If someone from the US needs to call your UK SkypeIn number, it will cost more then calling a US SkypeIn number.
